Arrival in Guam

Hello family, we have arrived, in fact we got here at 2:20 PM yesterday {Sat}. We were picked up and taken to the Hilton where we have a nice room and view. There are 7 Sr. couples that are meeting this week on CES, and we will be apartment hunting. We went to Church today and not only were there all these Sr. missionaries, but loads of elders and sisters. Sister Kanakorn from Thailand just arrived and she remembered who we were. She has been attending BYU Hawaii and speaks very good English.
We like our present view much better than the one from our Tokyo hotel! We have been out to eat a couple of times and found that the prices at the chains like Denny's and Wendy's seem to be about the same as at home but the food prices at the hotel are outrageous, but not as super outrageous as in Tokyo. Here is a picture out our window and another of the church. We have a Toyota Corolla that is pretty nice. It's hard to believe that we have wheels without having to beg for them like we had to in Thailand.
We hope you are enjoying your smoggy days! Let us know how you are doing, we love you! Thanks for the letters.

Training in Tokyo

Hi kids, Mom and Dad have made it to Tokyo, a city of about 12 million people. Keiji picked us up thank goodness and took us to our hotel which is really nice. We arrived at the airport at 4:30 PM and after clearing customs and immigration then the long ride to our hotel, it was already 7:00 PM. Keiji had bought us 3 huge Fiji apples and two 2 liter bottles of drinking water and offered to stop and get us dinner, but AA had fed us a meal less than an hour before landing.
The New Sanno Hotel is run for the US military and we had to pass security to even pull in the parking area. They all speak English and use US money, so until Friday we are in good hands.
We will be in training today, the Area office is by the temple, about 5 min walk from our hotel. Keiji is sending a guide to make sure we get there at about 10 AM
See you in a few months, Love your missionary parents, E & S Zaugg

And We're Off...

Well, we're excited to finally be off on our next big adventure. We left bright and early this morning for Tokyo. (ok, so this is really Jill -Mom and Dad haven't figured out the whole blogging thing yet. They asked me post something for them. So just pretend I'm them) We flew to Dallas, where we caught a non-stop flight to Tokyo. After this 13 1/2 hour flight, we will stay in Tokyo for training until Saturday. We're not sure how how things will be in Guam, like where we'll live etc. We just hope someone will be there to pick us up from the airport. We'll let you know when we have an address and phone number. Until then, watch for us on IM.

We love you all, and will miss you terribly. (How did I do? Was I convincing?)
